Ok computer whizzes, heres my problem.

I bought a computer yesterday and it has a 64GB SSD and a 640GB normal Hard Drive.

The 64 GB SSD is designated the C drive and has all the startup programmes on it, the large 640GB drive is empty.

My User profile is in the C Drive, so when i click on start the music, pictures and video are linked to the smaller drive and obviously i want my user profile in the larger 640GB drive so i can store above said items.

I tried cutting and pasting my user profile straight from the C drive to the D drive (wishful thinking :D) but that obviously did not work.

So my questions are this

1 How do i either move my User profile from the C drive to the larger D drive or create a new user profile in the D drive so that i can access from the normal start menu (ie without having to go into the D drive and searching for files via the link in computer)

2 Is it possible to allocate my D drive as the primary drive so everything automatically gets stored there rather than having to custom install everything and manually selecting install to D drive.

3 Is there any way to lock the C drive so nothing else can go on it with out me giving specific permission?

Many thanks in advance, this is doing my head in

1 - Take a look at http://hubpages.com/hub/Windows-7_-_Moving_My_Documents and follow the instructions (assuming windows 7)
2 - Not really, you'll have to watch where programs want to install to but usually (if they're well programmed) when you choose to save something they should save it to the drive you've moved "My Documents" to
3 - No, sadly.
