Hi all, on tour at the moment and having a problem with the esa (2012 gsa). Can’t change from one helmet to any other setting. Can flick between sport normal etc do switch seems ok

Short of having a gs911 or a dealer is there anything I can check out here in no mans land? Thought about disconnecting battery in the morning to check. Anything I can unplug/clean etc? Hoping it’s not a motor fail

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to make the changes with the bike on the center-stand?
If that doesn't or hasn't worked other than use the GS-911 to re-calibrate the ESA ride height sensor.
Also visually inspect make sure that the ESA Level Sensor push rod is in place and not bent.

Just tried centre stand running but no luck, I’ll try a battery reset first thing

Thanks both for your help - appreciate it

I had this in Spain last year. I was two up with camping stuff so it really could have done with getting it back onto two helmets. I rode it solo to BMW in Almeria who checked it out and I assume did a re-calibration etc etc. Didn’t fix it. I posted most of my stuff home and then we rode back.

After much faffing about it was the front esa motor that was FUBAR’d. I bought a secondhand shock from a member here and got the motor from it fitted to my Wilbers shock. All good now. I have a thread about it somewhere on here. As others have said ride it back, carefully if you need to.
