help fetling problem

HI im new to the gs seen and have just got R1100gs 1998 .
I have fited a remus can and link pipe K&N filter. it now runs very lumpy at 2500/3500 rpm. from 3500/5000 it seems to hold back & spluter if you open up gently. I had it on a dyno & it shows from 4000rpm up its very leain & power drops off. tryed it with bmw filter & no better.any help would be great .

Any way, hello and welcome to the site, brace yourself for abuse and pee taking (all in the best possible taste).

With regard to your problem you'll get more response if you post it in the 'technical' section.

Make sure your valve clearances and rocker end float are right, plugs are OK and throttle bodies balanced. Then it might be worth pulling the cat code plug and re-setting the motronic this will make it run a bit richer. Info on all of the above can be found by searching the teechnical section

Sean have you had the tank off at any time?

Try setting the valve clearences and balancing the throttle bodies, and adjusting the CO to factory spec .

You'll find doing the simple things work far better than adding a load of noisy bollox to your bike.
