Help for a Short Ar*e

I went to my local shoe repair guy to get extra thick soles attached to my boots. (Just my legs are not long enough!!).
I was told that the glue would not stick well to Oil / Petrol resistant soles as glues are old based and that coming to a stop when you put your feet down the glued on soles would / could easily scrapped off.
Anybody successfully had extra thick soles added to motorcycle boots?

SMB -- Allow me to be the first of many to point you in the direction of Altberg Boots of Richmond - their standard , "Skywalker" sole adds and extra inch , without the need for built up soles .
They can do more if needed and will craft a bespoke pair of boots for less than half the cost of a set of top of the range Daytonas - I'm lucky enough to have two pairs of Altbergs and two of Daytonas !

I have a pair of bog standard boots (BMW?) and four years ago a local cobbler stuck on some 1" soles. They and I are still here so I guess whatever he used as glue was OK
