hi all
i am going to be making up an adapter for my r100gs to take a jap silencer.

the problem i have is the old and very roted silencer is stuck on tight to the Y peice and i dont wont it to brake getting it off.

does anybody know what size diameter the Y piece is and the diameter of the end of the silencer?

if so that would be a great help. thanks in advance

The O/D of the collector box / Y piece on a R100GS is 45.3mm, well the OE BMW one is. Measured where it joins the silencer.

the restion i am doing this is to save money in the long run .

will just need to find some pipe then weld up some brakets as i still need to have the rear pegs on.

i have a old mircon of a honda vtr in the shed i my fit on to it to give it a
deeper note
