Help. Just got the latest map down loaded for my 550 Zumo, apart from taking the best part of 6 hours to load to comp then on to the Zumo. Finally finished and got the "you have now down loaded the maps to your GPS succesfully" but when I look at the unit have only the base map not even the original V9. Any suggestions?
I am currently redown loading from Garmin and going through the whole **** process again.Another 4 hours:mad:
Thanks

Just a thought, is the downloaded size in gigabites, the same as the download size on the Garmin site.

Has the map updated in Mapsource. If it has, look for the map update in your Garmin file folder on your PC to see if it there, if it is you should not have to start the whole download process again. If you find the map update file on you PC just click on it and start the extraction process again (PC) and connect your GPS unit to update the maps.

A problem that could have arisen that the map update is not on your GPS is that you have insufficient memory left on it (Zumo) and might have to clean out unwanted files to free up memory. This has caused problems for some already on the new map download 2010.30

How did it go ?

Downloaded no problem, had an external glitch when updating the GPS / PC no fault of the GPS just the user :blast

Just tried again and no problem :)

Had a problem previously because of the partitioning of the hard drive. Moving music files etc etc gave enough spare space for the upgrade to go ahead.

That seems to be what the problem was, not enough space. Deleted some of the "voice" files, music, pictures etc and all went ok, took the best part of two and a half hours though.
Thanks for taking the time chaps much appreciated:thumb

Worthwhile updating to Europe 2010.30 over here for sure :aidan
Lifetime maps have paid for themselves at this stage
