Help i need a starter motor in Dades Morocco r1150gs

Still trying to bump start it down a sand dune I reckon?

This is the problem with modern technology like starter motors .. something else to go wrong ..
what was wrong with a good old fashioned kick start
:D :D

It's probably cheaper and quicker to fly back to the UK, collect and deliver it yourself.

Or fly a friend out with one in a bag.

Or get on to Facebook and and find someone flying out in a tour!

Horizons unlimited. Trans Moroccon trail group etc.

From personal experience; easy bike to bump start on a solid surface at little more than walking pace. Wouldn’t be so easy on gravel. I’m sure you’d be able to find help/parts in Ouarzazate or, if not, Marrakech.

Zagora has a lot of garages/workshops, it’s the last town before going onto the Sahara trails and where all the off road vehicles congregate ..
Always used to stop off there on bike or in the Land Rover

Looks like he got sorted in the end...

"Had the same happen in Dades 2 weeks ago. Starter motor would clunk / throw forward but not spin. Stripped it down and 2 of the magnets were loose and broken up, jamming it solid. Hotel called a local garage who took it away from repaired it using a electric motor from a car starter motor. They couldn't speak English so didn't find out which model car. Bmw in Tangier were useless"
