Seems i have to do the work of an Actuary for my insurance co. :rolleyes:
Despite having the Bike insured with the same company for years - when i upped the 'declared value' i got a letter back to confirm this, and noticed it is down as a "California EV" / not a Cali 3[LAPD F.F].
Not that it will make any difference in the case of a claim - they'll still pay what THEY decide is right / not me :blast .

ANYHow,
to the point;
on their 'system' (drop down menu on a p.c. that is) my Bike dont exist. Bit of a surprise as i'd have thought the Cali's and Le Mans were THE most well known of all Guzzis. :nenau
So ive been told to eMail my evidence of the Bike (existing in the first place) and value.

Of course there's none for sale in Ireland.
Of course i cant find anything comparable on eBay / Biketrader etc in the U.K.
So - please help;
point me at links i can forward to the insewerance co.
The Bike is, to be specific a 1990 California 3, LAPD F.F. - but i'd settle for an 89 to 93 cali 3 with carbs.

not a jackal / special / 1100 / 1100EV.

Thanks in advance folks. :thumb2

What about a request to Guzzibits or That Guzzi Bloke in France

I haven;t seen one like it before or since
Jay,
The insurance company are quite restrictive in what/who they'll accept - hence my hope to find what they cannot argue is unbiased info.
Reboot in France; no use. He's a breaker / not a retailer and France is not the same market.
Guzzibits - i may try if desperate. ( but why would they bother? - no profit / only work for them)

Philip,
Thanks for looking - but i want to show the Bike has INcreased in value! Anyhow - again, that's not the same model.
But thanks all the same.

This is the nearest i've seen - but it's been totally restored;

I didn't think the LAPD was the official title. Its a MOTO GUZZI CALIFORNIA III FF CARENA INTEGRALE

Rob,
i dont know for sure to be honest :confused:.
i know "LAPD" can just mean a certain type (width?) of handlebars + crash bars, smaller carbs and allegedly if a cop drops it at low speed (to collar the bad guys :rolleyes: ) the set up allows it to be ridden away as the 'bars stop it from breaking levers etc.
.... or so i've heard. :nenau
"FF" - obviously fully faired.
My handbook states "CARENA INTEGRALE" - but that's no help if googled! :blast and certainly is not on the insurers database. :mad:
I just dont want excuses from them / any wriggle room for them if it got nicked or torched.
Apparently the old girl is going up in value - despite me owning it! :eek:
