Help identifying two connector plugs

Didn't say I don't trust them. I said that BMW advise against it. Also my independent BMW mechanic advises against it. Garmin also advises wiring to battery. And when BMW garage installs such items they wire straight to battery. Hence I followed both advice and practice in doing what I did. Prior to doing so, I did check best course, as wiring to canbus seemed much easier. And to repsond to other comments, my understanding is that the GPS connector wired to bike by factory is for BMW gps. That doesn't mean it is provided for all GPSs. Nonetheless, it still might be fine. I just decided that I didn't know better than BMW, BMW mechanics, and independent mechanics

That's what I was saying! Billy10 said he didn't trust the canbus switched outputs and had wired his usb charger straight to the battery.

Sorry - but the question you asked was whether an open circuit will draw current. No, it won't...

I have my Garmin sat nav wired to the accessory plug (pic 1 in the OP). It comes on with the ignition and switches off about 2 mins after the ignition is switched off. It’s been there 4 years and 70,000 miles and has never drained the battery. I also have a relay activated fused distribution box for a couple of other items (heated jackets really) with the relay switched by the under seat accessory socket. Again on and off with the ignition no problem. Finally for charging phones etc when camping with the ignition off I have a cigarette lighter and usb plug wired direct to the battery. Again, no problem no drain in use but I do remove the usb plug when not in use as it has an led so is always a very small bit of current.

Do what ever suits you. All solutions work and none is better than the other, just perhaps neater or more elegant and possibly easier to install.

Oh, and a motobatt with the extra terminals can make wiring up accessories a lot easier.

The 12v side isn't an open circuit. Common bike usb charger,
Input Voltage: 12V ± 4.0V USB (Output) Voltage: 5V ±.25V
 Output Current: 2.1A Max.
 Quiescent Current (no load current): 0.3mA (0.003A)

Quiescent current is the parasitic draw with nothing plugged in.
