Help on spark issue

OK,
This is a long winded issue but here goes.

Bike not running,

new hall sensor Check
Still no go
New loom check
Bike ran for 1 day
Still now no go
Bike in at BMW workshop ( again )
Still no go, cant find out why?
So, end matter is bike will not spark under normal operation, only when the battery lead is removed from the starter motor will it spark if the starter is turned over buy another or same bike battery with seperate power leads direct to earth/starter with wire to operate relay?
Weird but no idea nor has the dealer?

Can anyone offer any help on this? short of rigging up some sort of relay and switch I have no idea.

As soon as you put the red heavy duty lead back on the starter terminal spark stops (no signal from motronic unit to trigger the coil)

Sounds like there's an earth / short problem to me. Does the bike turn over when the battery leads are connected?

This is one of those examples where you can talk about it for a hundred pages and yet possibly find the fault in ten minutes if you`re actually working on the bike.

It needs proper electrical fault finding diagnosis rather than web page speculation,mate.
