help please unlock codes

having problems reinstalling mapsource v8 it started with not been able to transfer maps onto my 2610 tried several times but no luck so reinstalled the cd all i get is a box asking to enter my unlock code i hit next prompt but get the result of (there is a problem with mapsource registry. please reinstall mapsource again) this has been going on now for 3 days. i have tried unistalling and also deleting from c drive even reinstalled windows xp. the only thing i can see is at the beginning of installation i get a quick flash as it loads of a series of numbers which i assume is the unlock codes.

please help

p.s. i have tried loading onto another pc and it ok & even getting the downloads off the web

You may have to go into the registry and delete any garmin files left after uninstall before reinstalling again

tried all that but there's still something locked away which seems unable to be removed

im been asked to reinstall unlock codes but the window doesnt appear to enter them into it just reappears with reinstall unlock codes

had the very same problem a few weeks back, but before I got in to deep I tried system restore (roll back the computer to an earlier save point usually a few days) and it worked for me

unfortunately went a couple of steps beond that and reinstalled windows so i have no restore point

sorted at last conflict with google earth
