Have part filled the tank with diesel before realizing, have recovered bike back to home drained tank completley and filled with fresh fuel, bike will not now fire any ideas Chaps?

did you remove the tank or suck it out

Sorry 66 reg 1200GSA have had the tank off and completley drained refitted new fuel and wont fire, have gs911 and no fault codes showing

Bunged up injectors would be my guess or there is a slug of diesel still in the fuel filter and pump so its not getting the flow.
Remove your injectors from TB and make sure they are spraying.

Will give that a go, not done them before though so steep learning curve

If it's any help this is what I did. I'm assuming you started the bike and ran it? If not just ignore. I filled my 800 gsa with 27 litres of diesel ( yes I know it's a 24 litre tank ) rode bike about 2 miles till it stoped. The penny dropped bollocks says I. I did what any man would do and rang my wife who came to my rescue with a 25 litre drum and some hose. Drain tank fill with petrol but no way would it pick up and run. Cue more bad language. I bought a tin of easy start and squirted it into the intake and the bike ran on it with tones of white smoke like a fog. Eventually she cleard and thankfully showed no problems in 30,000 km. JJH

yep that will work, it won't damage anything but we might be able to see where in wales you are from the smoke

Also remove the spark plugs as well then just hit the starter button and run it for a bit, with no plugs in you shouldnt fry your battery and starter solenoid.

in that case easy start through the air intake and it will fire up

Too the garage it is then, thanks for the replies chaps its appreciated, will keep you up to speed with events

if you can remove the fuel line connector to the injectors you can just prime them into a jar till your getting petrol through

Try the old way we used to get long standing motors going, plugs out, blowlamp them till nearly red hot, get them back in quick and fire it up. As the plugs are small they cool quickly so when replacing just spin them in down to the washer, if it fires, don't rev it, just give 10 secs on tickover then torque them up.

Did give that a try when i had the plugs out to clean them, there was vapor but didn't do it for any length of time
