I did the same thing with mine last september when i bought the Zumo, spent over an hour fackin about with it, can't understand how the bloody thing went into the cradle with the security screw in but wouldn't come out,
might have get one of the thumb screws before our next big trip

How do I remove the ZUMO Security screw

Help!
As is says. Just can't get it out :nenau
Do I use force and Pliers. I want to replace it with the thumb screw.

You should have a dinky little security screwdriver with your Zumo - its fitted into a knurled silvery tube. I lost mine within minutes - fell down inside the bike never to reappear, but easy to replicate. Find a small narrow electricians screwdriver (eg with a blade to fit the grub screws on a mains plug), file a small notch in the centre of the blade - keep trying it till it fits the screw. Undo it completely then chuck the screw away :D
