Having just tried "utterlu butterly" for the first time as it spreads easier
it is the nearest thing to yellow grease I've ever seen mix with a bit of parafin and bung it in the engine!. I'll put on the fro sale bit befopre it goes on e-bay so jump in quick!

Oh thats ok, to be quite honest I find oil a lot more interesting. I've just put too much in mine again.

when you come back from a ride side stand 15mins centre stand over night and look at is when you get up. never failed me. mine will normally use 2lt over 6,000mls I think of it as a constant oil rejuvenation proses gives all the Rice jokes m8ts something to goggle at and fret over. they haven't worked out its a rotevator with a high gear and the blades removed

Unless you have a 1200 - 5 mins on centre stand is all it takes. all this nonsense about side stand and overnight etc is just an 'old wives tale'

you can only get an accurate reading with the oil HOT - due to expansion (of course)

with the proper amount of wholesome lard mixed in you get a nice wight line on the sight Glass when it is cold


no seriously you are right and as there is a good 500ml to play with it just isn't worth getting hung up about as long as I can see oil in the sight glass I am at peace with the world. I do the overnight thing out of habit and it works with my 1150, we all have Little rituals and habits like always putting my left glove on first, taping the side stand twice with my foot when I put it up and I never once have had a problem with it, probably the best one is hitting the turn signal cancel button every five minute I don't relies I am doing this until I think about it.
