Just bought a Zumo 550 from a KTM owner. It included a Touratech mount, but - as I discovered on getting it home - no bracket to attach the mount either to handlebar or Touratech bar (which I recently bought from Bandit). I'm leaving for France on Friday 24th, so I have two days to find a solution. Any ideas?

I should add that I tried the most obvious route and went straight to Touratech's site and their delivery for the brackets is quoted as 7 - 10 days.

Need more input :D

Fitting it (zumo 550 and TT cradle) onto 12GS ?

TT cradle has two clamps on underside, each clamp has screw/nut set ?

......... need answers to above :augie

If Yes, to above then RAM-B-149Z or short arm version is RAM-B-149ZA is my answer .. the how to and where it goes .. takes longer to answer :blagblah

Thanks for responses - I'm still frantic: here's a picture of the reverse side of the TT mount. As far as I can tell (and I've never seen one before) there are no clamps.

Oh, and yes, Ram Man, it's a 1200GS. I'm no longer particular aboput whether it attaches to the Touratech bar or the handlebar, as long as there's some way to attach it to a motorcycle!

RAM-B-149ZA (with short arm) and attach onto LHS of sreen support (oval rail).
The u-bolt in the kit, RAM-B-231Z, has a shim (RAP-319) so insert into 1" u-bolt and wrap around oval rail, the u-bolt has inverted V so locates nicely, a tip add rubber wrap around oval rail :augie and short arm should bring inline of the clock.. and another tip, remove screen first :D

TT cradle has clips missing (but are not needed anyway as you'll be attaching a RAM diamond base anyway) and can see where its been connected. Remove the three screws/nuts combo from underside, cos you'll need two of 'em as the diamond base (RAM-B-238) in the kit RAM-B-149ZA *aligns* with two of the centreline holes, so onto flat underside surface of the TT cradle.

Many thanks, both.

While I was waiting I called Touratech and spoke to an extremely sound chap by the name of Graham. I emailed him the same pic, he rattled around in a drawer and put together the missing bits to post 1st class recorded, for which he is only charging postage. So they should arrive in the morning.

Should Royal Mail fail to live up to their side of the bargain, I will head to one of the two RAM Mount London outlets and follow your advice.

Thanks again.
