Hi, am getting a GPS for Christmas, but have to choose one myself.

So which one to get?

1) It needs to be waterproof, weatherproof and rattleproof.
2) Screen needs to be readable while riding.
3) It needs to have internal and external power.
4) Add on memory option would be advantageous.

Thanks in advance for your advice. Oh, price should be between £300-£500. :thumb :nenau :nenau :beerjug:

most peeps on here are using garmin 2610 or quest .

2610 no internal battery but has expandable memory,

quest internal battery but no expandable memory,

quest2 has is preloaded with europe and has a bit of memory spare,

take a look through the previous posts in the gps info board,

or use the search button for more info

Thanks

Thanks for the info and tipps.

I think it will be easiest if I go into a GPS store in London or Oxford and have a look at all models available. But your info will give me an idea what to look out for, so thanks.

Happy New Year to you all, and all the best for 2006. :bounce1 :thumb

Yer know, this forum needs a GOOD sticky at the top with a clear description of what the best options are, new GPS’ers just don’t know what to buy, and I don’t blame them, its got quite complex theses passed couple of years.
