Just bought an 05 1150 ADV SE with 10,000 miles on it and as a little surprise when I lifted the seat off tucked away was a power commander 3. The bike as I knew already has a Remus Y piece and end can. I have been in touch with the original owner who installed this and it was all set up on a dyno originally, however I would just for piece of mind like this to be done again.

As I believe word of mouth / recommendation is the best way of going about this and as I have no knowledge or history with power commanders or dynos I was hoping someone on here can recommend a local shop with a dyno to take my bike to ?? :nenau:nenau

Ta muchly

Phil

Thanks, just talked to them seemed very clued up as opposed to me.:comfort

Bike booked in Feb 6th for an engine makeover:aidan

Well come on how did you get on?
I am thinking of getting one after I get a full exhaust fitted, just waiting for the weather to break.
:tumbleweed

I think Mr Twisty is recovering from the shock.Nice to meet him though :)

Unfortunately there was a small problem with the power commander which
is at Dynojet waiting for repair or replacement. The good news is that the
unit is not an American ebay import and so is eligble for warranty work.
the Usb connection was making a poor connection making adjustment
of the PC almost impossible.

*awaits mr twisty *

Well where to begin woke up on the Saturday morning looked out the window
and could see about the length of the garden, not the best of condtions when
Just about to ride a new bike for the first time !!

No improvement so the power commander came off, bike was still running rough as anything
Out came the tools together with help from local racer Shaun never caught his second name
Bike had the throttles bodies balanced, jammed throttle cable realeased stock bike was g

At last my posts are getting through. Tried about 4 times to post over the last week, they were just going off out into cyber space.:duno

Please you are ok Mr Twisty let us know how part 2 goes?

Just wondering will a power commander give me a bit more go in mid range so I dont have to drop a gear.
Every time I drop a gear I get a pain in my right kidney, this only happens when wor:wife lass is on the back. I wonder if this happens to anyone else?

Well after waiting a week,I have contacted Dynojet again, and still No news.

Hi John,

Thanks for the update are they saying anything or is it just that they have not got around to it yet ??

Should have sold him one of these the're great

At the moment me and electrickery gadgets are not best mates but if you have a free sample you would like me to compare against my impressions of the Power commander well I could be talked into being a test pilot !! :hide

Well having finally got in touch with Richard in the Dynojet Tech.
it would seem that there is a technical fault with the PC which Dynojet America are trying to help sort out.
so it must be a BIGGY :D

:augie*edited technical blurb by poster dynostar*:blagblah

They hope to have America contact them in a couple of days.
Unfortunately because I didn't supply this item (not Mr twistys fault:tears)
I cannot huff and puff about it,we have to wait at their lesuire :comfort
(sorry about the american spelling but it seemed apropriate :D)

:blast FINALLY we get a phone call to tell us that ...:bounce1:bounce1

the power commander is unrepairable and they are unable to determine the exact fault with the unit.:(
and
it is a 2006 unit and so out of warranty :tears
:nenau but why could they not have said that in the 1st place is beyond me.
unless Mr Twisty can tell me otherwise.they will want a receipt or proof of purchase.
this is really bad service from dynojet and I find it unusual and can only apologise on their behalf for being slow.

it looks like the roadtest may be on the cards :eek
for all the wrong reasons

I might be able to help here. My bike is in bits just now and the Rapid Bike only takes 5 minutes to remove. If Phil wants to call here on Saturday I can take it off my bike and fit it to his so he can have a try of the system:thumb2

Phone number is under the avatar chaps:thumb2

Thanks for the offer Rob, but standing by there " outstanding " customer satisfaction reputation Stewart at Perth Motorcycles has agreed to pay for a new Rapid-bike system to be installed so Phil's a happy lad :ChrisKelly

and a big

:clap:clap:clap:clap

goes out to Stewart
