Went to work on my bike today, no probs , came to start it tonight after late shift and on turning on the ignition there were no instrument lights displayed, not a flat battery as the heated grips are still working.
Anyone any ideas!

I have checked the row of fuses under the seat and all ok, i seem to remember PaulXC having a similar problem at Ripley , and i seem to recall there was a main fuse located elsewhere? any ideas

Is the bike dead and won't start?

I had a similar problem in spain last summer. Turns out one of the pins on the ignition switch- the one thats located on the back of the ignition barrel had broken loose.

Just stripped the wires back and twisted them together to by pass the switch and it was all good again.

New switch is about £40 IIRC

Got the old girl going, must have been a loose connection on one of the solenoids/switches near to the battery, took the side panel off and heard a clicking noise , pushed all the connecters together and hey presto:thumb, taking it on the trails Thursday up the Peaks so will see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion Nathan
