Are these any good, and whats the deal about moving the rear brake pipe to fit them ?

I fited a set of these to my 1150 gs 2001 model. no bother. I didnt have to move any brake pipes about either. :oonyack three bolts either side and one in the middle at the belt cover.:oonyack

having looked at various bars i would say these are the best, easy to fit ( once studying the destructions and very strong also do not need to be removed for servicing - no brake pipe moving involved. think motobins are one of the cheapest places about in the UK

Err, what about replacing the alternator belt?

I managed to remove the front plastic engine cover without removing the engine bars (just :augie ) when checking for any corrosion on the engine cover. I take it that's all you need to remove to change the alternator belt. Can't get the side panels off with the tank bars on though. Was quite hard fitting the tank bars but engine bars were fine, once I had a set of torx tools.

BMW fitted my belt without any quibbles. so no issue there :)

If you have a 1200, the H&B's are probably the best of them 'though the upper bars are a real pain to fit they also do a good job.
