So, I fitted my new LED spot lights and a few other farkles, all done with no real issues then on to a quick oil and filter change. I had removed the tank to run a power cable up for the lights, so back on with the tank, fire it up.......oooh, that sounds a bit ropey.
Check the throttle cables, nope still in situ, mmmm.

Warmed the bike, dropped the oil, new filter in, top up with new oil, everything tickety boo, fire her up....dead!!

Bike turned over but no go. Check lines again and the link pipe and one of the fuel qr connectors aren't quite clicked home. Try again.....dead. Turns over but no go....

Checked injector signal, fine, but no fuel pressure. Pump is priming, there's fuel, but no pressure.

remove pump and whoever replaced the fuel filter had used the original BMW clips and the pipe had blown off the output on the fuel filter :blast
Fitted a nice stainless jubilee clip, put it back together and she runs like a champ :clap

Never had that before, so thought it may help someone in the future just in case you were thinking of reusing the BM clips, do yourself a favour and don't, or at the least make sure they hold the pipe on properly :D

It blew off because the feckwit owner hadn't fitted the Q/D fully so causing a blockage on the fuel output = high pressure = pop goes the weasel at the next weakest link.

:D

Almost true, the clamp was loose and easily pushed back on, the pipe was not sealing properly, so I claim that the feckwit owner, through his feckwittery, discovered an issue previously hidden :D

Gave me a chance to oil up the threads and nuts to the fuel pump cover, so a win win.
