Looks like the 1st Nov is when I can next do an all day green lane day... I'll be ooking to do a 200 mile plus day as part of my HL training.

Who fancy's this?

It's likley to be some sort of double loop ride so there will be the option to drop-out join-in midway.

If anyone has ideas on how to add to my loop let me know and we can have a pre ride maps and a beer planning session

Should be ok for this.

Have a new replacement inner tube for you here and £5, PM me your address and I will pop in the post. :thumb2

I'm gonna be Stateside on the 1st - but would be interested in doing some training with you in the future. Depending on the terrain can bring either the Adv or HP2. Let me know if you fancy putting some dates in the diary :thumb2

Yup I'm in :thumb

Just got some new tyres, I promise to ride at the back :augie

Where will you be meeting up?

We'll start from The Mullberry Cafe in StAlbans - time tbc I'm thinking about getting away early so it may be an 8:00 start.

A breakfast break option will happen after 55 miles

If you are an off road star on a big GS then it will be good to have you come along... Beacuse I only have so many weekends free before the HL this has to be a training ride for me with an objective to do a 200 + mile.

My next free weekend will be the 15th 16th and then the 29th 30th Nov.

Depending on when my Airhead is back from it's rally pre I will use one of these weekends to ride an A and B road route to Scotland and back. I'd like to do a 1000 mile shakedown ride.

Any idea on alternative long distance off road rides welcom

Bummer.......cant do this, as I have to be back to Barnet by about 2pm that day :(

To Wreford

Obviously i wouldnt want to hold you up, if your in training, ill wait for another trip.

That's an assumption ;-)

I'm not an off-road star and we don't tear around but we do keep the pace up... It's doable on a big GS if you have exsperiance and I know several riders who would ride a big GS at the pace we will ride.

I don't know you or your skill so it's your call

dont we need a gs to carry all the spare innner tubes , tyre levers etc for darkhorse ??

now there is a thought

Not an off-road god either but confident enough having done a good few green lanes/off-road days and would like to come along. Be comforting to know if there are others on GS's though or whether it's all pure off-road bikes. I'd be on an 1150 with TKC 80's on it.

It looks like an 8:00 am start so you could duck out after the first 100 miles which means you'll be back with time to spare.

I may well take you up on that!!

How much tarmac is involved in the 1st hundred miles, The DR doesn't run too well on roads due to the low pressures I run the tyres at

ANDRE

Maybe we could start with them and if cant keep up / spoling it we could bail out with a copy of the route?

It's hertfordshire, they will be tarmac;-) but I try to keep it to the minimum... Maybe you should pump up your tires as we do keep up the pace between lanes.
