Perhaps make sure that the unit is properly connected to the RDC unit. And please confirm your bike is a Bmw R1200 GS/GSA LC?

Yes on both accounts, I have disconnected all the leads and reconnected them. It is connected to the RDC, mine is the LC, Euro 4 engine with the lean-angle thingy bolted under the seat as well.

Please do me a favour and thoroughly go through the FAQ https://ice-tags.co.za/product/hex-ezcan/ and then contact [email protected] so you can obtain a support ticket. Please let me know the outcome.

Will Probably still get addition lights just curious if it would work. I should have added about the brake light I assume that would be the same to gain the flashing function?

Yes it would be but.............and a big but. Once you have "modified" the back light to work with EZCAN you will have no more garrentees and warrantees from BMW, and they might act the same way if you replace the oem spot connectors, still your perogitive. As mentioned I won't. It is an amazing piece of equipment and I am currently testing another fantastic feature!

Just a thought author. Do you get the green LED on the ezcan when it has power?

Yes, the LED comes on if I connect the USB cable or if I simply turn on the ignition. I notice yours doesn't have the lean angle thingy, I wonder if that the issue? I can't imagine why though as the Ezcan only 'reads' the can bus. Anyway......

To be sure I have just tested the LED. Oddly this time I just let it run its course instead of clicking on the programming page. Initially having plugged in but not turned on the ignition it said it detected no can bus. Ignition on removed that message to be replaced with saying it wasn't connected to the battery. About 30-60 secs saw that message disappear to be replaced with connect the USB. Odd it can sense the battery and can bus correctly put out a message to that effect yet finally settles on the idea that the USB isn't connected correctly :nenau. The USB has to be connected in order to sense the battery and/or can bus in the first place!
Hope Ezcan sort this for me, it a bit too expensive to simply 'write it off'.

Be assured they will sort it out. Please send me a short description (As I do not want to copy and paste your text) and also your name and surname that you used when you completed the support ticket. Please send it to my email [email protected] and I can follow up for you.

Thanks very much Ice-tags, much appreciated. I will get that off to you soonest.

Just check your port settings in your Device Manager on your pc. In other words ensure you are inserting the usb connector from the ezcan in to the corresponding port no indicating in Device Manager

Hi all sorted?

Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Sadly no. I've have had a list of tests to do which I did last night. I have emailed the results to the support team and copied you in. Not sure where it's going next as it doesn't recognise the battery connection but I'll wait to see what they say. I think it will end up needed to be replaced as it doesn't seem like a software update kinda fix but I'll let them work it out.
Thanks again for helping out.

Great bit of Kit for R1200GS (LC)

It takes 30 mins to fit, does away with relays and extra wiring for Aux lights and gives extra functionality for aux lights and break lights.

I fitted this with Denali D4 lights and it works a treat. different brightness settings can be programmed into system for day and night time riding. Aux light switches off on the side where the turn signal is given, so the turn signal does not get missed or overpowered by the aux light. Works with high beam flash to give a blast of light from the Aux lights as well as your bikes full beam.

I haven't fitted as yet, but planning to fit a high level break light on top-box. High Level Break lights can be programmed to flash on emergency braking to give an extra warning to other road users. Again no relays or extra wiring just straight into connection already provided on HEX EZCan.

Could someone please tell me what the import duties are when receiving an EZCAN from South Africa?

Found a site online that says the import duty is 3.5% on motorcycle parts. To get an accurate figure though you need to have the shipping cost and any insurance costs as those are taken into account too. Then at this end there is a cost at parcel force for their admin costs of about £9.

The site link is [URL="https://www.dutycalculator.com"[/URL]. Hope this helps.
