Did you remove the OEM horn with the Stebel or leave in place? I would like to install an air horn using the ezCAN on an ordered RT LC and am wondering about how to deal with canbus errors if the OEM one is removed.

I have twin FIAMM horns wired direct to one of the EZcan. No issues with canbus. One of the horns is in situ of the OEM, the other sits between the forks. This photo is before I put the ezcan in hence the crap wiring, but shows where they are situated. Hope this helps.

So the leads to the OEM horn are now disconnected?

Yes...it is capped off for weather purposes. The EZcan sends the signal through the Canbus when you hit the horn button.

Having problems with my EZCAN - No CANBUS connection detected so therefore nothing working, all plugs seem perfectly intact and connections are firm and correct - anyone else had similar? Wondering if it's the RDC module - anyone know how to eliminate what is faulty? Praying it's not the EZCAN

Have you tried another computer? An alternative lead from the computer to the Ezcan? I only say this because I had that at first, along with another fault but in the end it was a old laptop that was at fault for the canbus like yours. Reloaded the software onto my Mac, carried it out to the garage, connected it up and hey presto the canbus read ok.
I'll have a look at my emails back to Ezcan for any other checks I did and post later.

All sorted now, i'd removed the fuse tap from where i was powering the DENALI lights from under the seat and forgot to replace original fuse. What a complete :tosser

Glad you're sorted. Once working it's a brilliant bit of kit. :D

I have been following Warlords tech-fest regarding his camera/bike set up and may go the same way with regard the Garmin Vibe. To that end I have started searching and came across Wiggle selling the VIRB X for 47% less than list price. Not the XE so not sure what the difference is.

I've just fitted mine...

Had fitted a PDM60 but the mass of wires played havoc with my OCD...

That and the fact that I wouldn't have to fit extra switches/facility to strobe etc.

Went with the Chinese Cree lamps and upgraded to a "Split sound-bomb" horn - dear god that's loud!

Awaiting some LED brake light repeaters and all will be connected!

Great piece of kit.

Virb XE has faster frame rate options at 1080p HD and some advanced ISO light level options.

Virb X has more basic features but it isn't a bad device. I'm using the Virb X for my rear camera view on my bike.

The XE has GPS and some more sensors built-in. I'm pretty sure you can only pair a OBD2 monitor with the XE but I might be wrong on that one.

Still an awesome buy at that money.

I grabbed a XE for £270 on Amazon.

For those of us who haven't got unlimited dinero to spend.
http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php nice little site.
I made up one of these to power my cheapie air horn, two sockets for sat nav/ mob phone and heated jacket.
All for the total cost of less than a tenner as I already had four inline eBay fuses. Had it working now for eighteen months and all ok except Nautilus look alike horn needed 20 amp fuse but there again it was £12 from eBay it's now fine and at least mumpies can hear me now.
