Hexhead to LC Vario Top Box Fitting

I think I just traded in my twin cam for an LC. I know the panniers won't fit but the top box looks as if it might, does anyone know if there's an adaptor plate to fit a vario top box from a TC to an LC?

Otherwise I might stick on the old Givi box I have in the loft- I guess there's adaptors for these?

You 'think' you traded in your TC for an LC? Are you not sure? How does that happen?

There is certainly a GIVI adaptor.

It's complicated. My bike is being repaired at dealer's 250 miles away; the dealer offered me a decent part ex against a used LC; I put a deposit down but it's all subject to inspection and test ride of the bike. Reading all the reviews I think I'm going to like the LC but any GS without luggage is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, IMHO.

I have the aluminium GIVI plate on my LC, it is worth the extra over the standard plastic version as it is so much more in keeping with the style of the bike. It's a good solid looking bit of kit.

I think the weight limit will be the same for all as it's determined by the rack/rear subframe and not the top box mounting plate. Anyway these limits always seem very conservative to me and I guess many of us routinely exceed them.
