Hi guys, was trawling through garage yesterday and forgot I had an LC Vario top box (larger one than TC) just wondered if anyone has come up with a mod to make the rack fit the TC. Would be much better box as helmet slots straight in!

Just found the eBay listing- he does do an adaptor but its not suitable for what you want -- it allows the TC Vario to fit the earlier models.

I made an aluminium carrier for a Givi case to replace the Adventure top case top rack. It duplicates the Adv top rack legs but sits flat on the basic carrier. The back end is longer so the case does not fit too close to pillion seat.
Something similar should work for the LC case.
Material is 3mm aluminium sheet strengthened underneath at the back with aluminium angle. Without that the plate would be too flexible. A better deign would have folded down sides and back with welded corners. I don't have the tools to do that.
It will get painted when weather is warmer.

Mine is ok but I regret taking so much metal out of the middle. That whole area is hidden under the box so may as well stay solid sheet.
Quick release fasteners would be nice so the OEM box can be swapped with minimum hassle. But theft would be an even bigger risk.
I will probably add a couple of P clips to the OEM carrier that will be trapped by the top box.
