@Sgt Bilco , I see Nathan , who’s on here is doing an east to west coast trip in June

£2450 sounds pretty good for someone to arrange all the paperwork and give you four weeks to ride across from NY to LA ?
Might be tempted in 2027 if he’s doing similar.

That's a cracking deal to be fair.

Last time I looked at this, fully comp bike insurance was very difficult if not impossible to get and only 3rd party available.

Hopefully, Nathan has found a way around this.

can’t make this one me’sen but I’ll give him a plug as it might help someone who hasn’t the time or patience to organise bike transport for a trip to the USA early summer 26.

I didn't know it but a friend mentioned this year is the 100th anniversary of R66. He's starting in Ocean City Maryland on Rt 50 and taking that road across to Sacramento California. Then south to Santa Monica to R66 and riding it to Chicago. While sections of those roads are interesting a lot of it isn't, but it's a reason to take a ride.

Nathan has it spot on especially about meeting local people in the US.

People have weird impressions of what to expect as all they see is whats on the box but in all the years I've been riding in the US and taking groups, I'm yet to meet an unfriendly local.

I've taken around 180 people on trips and I can't think of one who didn't come back with a positive opinion of the country and people.

Best not to talk about religion or politics though..........!!
