I’ve had 2 Germans on Ducati sports bikes wave me past after several miles of an Alpine pass, I was on a fully loaded 650 Dakar
They were definitely fast though, they were hanging of with their knees poking out towards to tarmac and everything![]()
Giles maybe you can teach me to sense when a deer strikes or when pea gravel litters the next turn...If you ride a motorcycle you will eventually crash ! And for that reason I only ride a boxer on the road because for obvious reasons it protects your legs and the bike itselfI know to people loosing a leg and it was not their fault...On a boxer it would not have happened...
I got overtaken, on my old GS, going downhill in the Dolomites by two Austrian guys. I wasn’t hanging around either........
The cnuts were on pushbikes ( I shit you not)

I think you’ve watched too many limp...sorry Maxwrist YouTube videos. A selfish prick, with no regard for anyone else and not enough talent to actually race, so rides like a nobjockey on the road to make up for his tiny penis. He’s alive through luck rather than talent, a truly shite rider who will end up another statistic.
GHOSTRIDER !! He came to Elvington one year and set a world record. I can't remember which one though, 1km wheelie or outright wheelie speed?

No, Maxwrist......look him up on YouTube, he’s a feckin liability. If you read the comments section, it’s full of idiots with the same ideas as Boxerlust.
Ghostrider became a ghost for real didn’t he?
Oh Fuck .... now i'm turning into boxerlust and stick
This is Ventoux. We did a three ascent challenge from the three villages at the bottom. The descents were mad and we were passing camper vans and cars on the way down. Pretty boring video but FF to about 8.20 and you get a feel for just how fast you can go. (I am red bike black lycra in front of the go-pro bike).

A few words of wisdom after almost 40 seasons on a bike...Death pace on the road is still snails pace on the track.Motorcycle riding is a dangerous sport and sand/gravel always got me and deer are unpredictable. The alternative go slow or drive a car.Not for me.A boxer is the only passive safety that can protect your legs if a car turns left in front of you ! So on the stret only a boxer for me.Feedback on a fork ? Tell that Marc Marquez who always looses the front every race weekend qualifying despite having a $100K Ohlins fork made out of unobtainium.Don't read the magazine bullshit but even John Urry lately came around telling how superior Telelever is to any fork , electronic or not...
And yes on a backroad mostly you probably use 60-80 hp looking at the actual rpm and throttle openings if you are honest. But a fat wave of TORQUE makes riding so much easier as you don't have to shift for fast acceleration but on shorter or longer straights to load the gears 2,3,4 at speeds between 60 and 150 mph is soo much fun
A engine combining the fat torque of a 1250 GS with the ballistic top of a S1000XR would make it the perfect motorcycle road engine
For the track a inline fours with smaller pistons for higher rpm making even more top end power are obviously a better choice...Always the right tool for the job !
And yes the current GS can't use more top-end power as it will get frisky around 140 with bags and topcase but it is still a great backroad weapon with great quick steering,a Telelever that soaks up all imperfections and keeps the front planted and a Torquey boxer that probably make more power than any other motorcycle engine included the supercharged 1000 cc Kawasaki and 1290 KTM up to 8000 rpm...

It was a guy on a Bicycle coming down Mt. Hamilton which is a very tight and twisty road.At the bottom I said please don't tell anyone as I did everything and still could not get by him.He said don't worry I do this all week long and you actually did good staying on my arse...
Beat a 110 hp bike with 1/2 hp...
