I should change this
Are you going to post pics of the airbox breather mod you told me about?

I'll do one better than that and post the bits to you if you want them BM![]()

Ah, is it some foam to go over the pipes that go down to the carbs?
Is it needed only if you use mineral oil instead of fully synthetic?
Not that my oil has chance to emulsify![]()
Ok I might be having a difficult day, but isn't it fuel that goes through the jets and air goes through the throttle body? So, for oil to block it'll have to go through the jet the wrong way IYSWIM?

The oil from the crankcase breather drips out of the white breather pipes in the inlet tubes and into the slow running jets at bottom of carb venturi..
the mod stops it happening..

It's a small Harley style breather that plugs into the end of the pipe as it enters the airbox and replaces the Y piece and pipework from the original breather pipes. I haven't had a single problem with blocked jets and the carbs were very clean when I pulled them apart. The only downside I can see is the oily mist eventually dribbles out of the vent in the back of the airbox and down the back of the gearbox - good for preventing corrosion on the gearbox though and would only be a problem if you want a showroom bike.
The filters like this http://www.jpcycles.com/groups.aspx...12ea&DID=762c6f10-cd18-40d3-996a-d317581c1cbd

Hmm! I can't find them now. They are basically a Harley push in breather. Solos mod will work just as well.
