Hi Guys,

Not trying to hijack the post but I'm a newbie to this forum and also to GS ownership having just recently acquired a 2001 GS1150. I came across this thread and thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself. Brief bio : originally from Glasgow but moved up to Tomintoul a couple of years ago. Previous bike a Yam TDM850 which I had for 11 years. Only been out on the GS a couple of times but enjoying it so far.

Looking forward to meeting up with some of you over the summer and and I'll apologise in advance for the stupid questions that I'm sure I'll come up with.

Welcome ... you'll find many of the runs guys do involve Th Old Fire Station cafe in Tomintoul at some point so you'll see lots in the passing at least!

Hi Johnny, there's some great riding nearby. I'm often headed up to Tomintoul from Forres over the top from Knockando.

Welcome. I pass your door most Mondays - but at about 6 on the way to Aberdoom for a couple of days each week, return normally on a Wednesday but by then its time to get home

Not a million miles away though, sort a wee ride sometime, folk will pop up I'm sure, plenty around as well

Just a short bimble from you, near Elgin. As has been said by many already, the Fire Station is a great stop off point after covering the miles around that area - just last weekend I was up there twice
