I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong, it says needs MOT and Service, it won’t need a Service at 1200 miles. Its service will be due at 6600 miles. In either case as a seller you’d get it serviced if you genuinely thought it needed one and you’d definitely get it MOT’d so that it was legal to ride away.
It says SORN since Q422, what the hell does that mean?
It also says it has a quick shifter, the 2020 model didn’t have a quick shifter, I believe it was introduced in 2022.
And finally why only three generic photos? With a bike like that you would most definitely take some close ups of the tower and the cockpit as well as the wheels to demonstrate their condition.
However if it is genuine, it is indeed a good price.

Yes you might be right although it could just be a lazy or unwell seller.

Just checked and it's not had an MOT yet and it's not SORNED either which might back up the seller having been ill as stated in the advert.

I am sure anyone on here who might be interested will check it's kosher before paying any money.

I am tempted to have a look at it myself as it's local.

If interested going and see it as I bought a 800XC once which had been sat in the garage not used same sort of situation. Person who bought it simply liked the look of them and did all of 1k a year then bought another and did the same each time. That was his thing he simply liked looking at it more than riding but each to their own and it was a superb bike

I rode a GasGas 700ES trail riding in Sweden last Autumn. Best quick shifter I've used - by some considerable margin.

I called the guy this morning, all sounds genuine to me. He is very weak after cancer and also has other bikes so he doesn't need this bike anymore. He has owned it from new.

After giving it some thought I am going to stick with my DR650 so this lovely bike is still available.

I did say I might be wrong.
I wonder if they introduced the quick shifter on the 2020 models then and not as I thought on the 2022 ones.
Re the quick shifter it is impeccably smooth and seamless. On the GS it was the total opposite, heavy, clunky and noisy.

Chap may be in finance, banking, sales or similar... References to Q1-4 are either financial quarters or calendar quarters (just to confuse further!).

Likewise, 'H1' and 'H2' refer to first half and second half of a year, respectively, either calendar or fiscal.

Different bikes. The ones on Motoline you point out are bog standard 701 Enduros, the one in the ad is the LR Version

My 2020 LR definitely has a very smooth quick shifter.
