It is so important to be prepared. I now have a trailer to carry my hi viz, spare bulbs, set of wheels, replacement bike, stretcher, first aid kit, 2 litres of O type blood, syringes, full operating theatre, trained nurse and emergency doctor. I tried to pack in a motorcycle technician with full tool kit but the little bastard wanted 100 euros per hour. Got a second medic instead, hell of a lot cheaper. I am still looking for a 1600 kilometre extension cord for the electrics, damned if I going to pay two lots of standing charges for electric back up. I've got 100 litres of oil for the bike, had to buy 20 different grades to cover all eventualities. Well you can't be too careful can you!
Next year it will be compulsory for all tourists to take French nationality at the border, this includes a 3 week lesson in Gallic shrugging whilst drinking five litres of wine and eating two kilos of over ripe brie, waving a white flag and arranging for the deportation of undesirables. hard life
