Are they the same HID or are they made by different manufacturers - if the latter then try

Quality of components
Better exchange policy

of course could just be - one dealer wants a larger profit margin

These i can understand ,but wanna Know ,which.

Well it will be different in each case so the easiest way

is to ask each vendor to justify why their item is more than the next mans.

If they cannot then form your own opinion.

an example

Les Wassal sells HID on this site - they are not the cheapest but.

1. they are good quality

and

2. any issues he sorts it without question

so I would not go anywhere else (I have bought 3 full sets).

I've also bought all my HID's from Les. Faultless customer service when I have one small problem. If only other people took the same care with what they sell.........:augie

The same reason people pay more for a M&S t-shirt than one from Primark.

Perception. People percieve the expensive stuff to be better quality when in fact its often the same.

Thanks Chaps , I am aware of the Basics .
I suppose i can ask a More Direct Question then ,
Why is one Vendor Charging , Ywice as much as the Other ,,,,
It would clear this up once and for all , if either or Both
vendors would respond ......

Davy , Thanks , but couldnt you just once , Not Display bad manners
and just stick to what has been asked without the wee
not so smart Snide remarks {Which i hasten to add you
have no idea what your talking about.

There is a lot of HiD's out there now and a lot of tosh, all i can say is we make sure our gear is the best quality, and that is why we are a little more expensive, we also give a full 12 month warranty on the goods.

Price wise if you look around we are only £10 more on kits and use Euro internals not the Chinese stuff there is a way of knowing ;)

We carry a large stock of ballasts and a wide range of bulbs, also offer P&P kits ready to fit :thumb2

Fair play that Man.
I for one am Prepared to Pay a Little Extra for European Produced goods.

i only just stumbled upon this so i apologise for my slow reply.

I do get a bit funny about it when...well lets put it this way... alot of the components in the item i sell are in fact the same ones as someone else sells:augie but people slag others off? Ive been nothing but supportive of other peoples products and quite clearly stated in the original post that if you want the very best you should speak to Les. However i am willing to retract that if requested.

and ive sorted out any problems without question as well.

Make up your own mind if you wish to pay 150% more.

I supply these pretty much as a favour for people. I make enough to buy me a pint and a packet of crisps down the local. After paying for the goods, shipping, mr vat, shipping to the customer, packing materials. It soon adds up.

I think im being pretty fair in saying that most if not everyone i have supplied has been pretty happy. If there has been a problem i will sort it out and I will continue to stick by that.

Sure there is sometimes a delay in getting them to the customer, but then with the savings, its worthwhile. Reason for the delay, i have a very busy full time job, as well as that im studying for a degree, Im the managing director of a housing association, im trying to do up a house, a campervan and 8 motorcycles. Im a busy man! lol

In fact why should i be so nice about it? ive been nice about it so far but still snidey comments come into it?

Well i put it to you that i can supply these parts for this price inc. p&p at £37.50.
Well p&p doesnt cost ME £9 to the uk. It tends to cost around £3 - £3.30 depending on exactly what im sending.

So an extra £90 must be creeping into what.. some stupid special box? with a bmw logo stuck on it? im thinking maybe i should print out some stickers and shove them on a box. I obviously have no business sense.

Because when the bulbs i supply ARE exactly the same, the ballasts look to my eyes to be rebadged units.... Exactly the same casing and connectors etc....

You pays your money, you take your choice and all that.

Not getting into a slinging battle, but to clear thing's up a little I was quoting the wide world of HiD, there is a lot out there and mine are only about a tenner more in fact I am more than a tenner less than some company's.
And they are the Chinese stuff,
Our price of £50 for the 35 watt Hid kit is very good considering the quality of the internals, this is something we insist on, we buy military grade internal so we hope to get very very few back.

We were one of if not the first to get the 50 watt kits into the UK.

And the £9 is for a next day parcel with TNT at a weight of 1.7Kg for the full P&P kits, if just Hid kit bought then I use RM at £4 first class signed for.

And the bulbs are actually different, if I go of the one's in the instalation picture's you posted.

We have the stickers and stupid box's more for our web site as it helps to stand out in the product market, we are just trying to get top product into the market and get a business going, there is no problem from me with your sales, there is others on the site that sell as well, you must have good business sense, MD, Builder and HiD seller, don't take it so personal, save some of the beer money and you can buy me one :D

I have never purchased from you but I find this a very strange comment especially when you are trying to sell /support your product.

Customers are generally not interested in your reasons for not supplying the goods - they just want them and if you would rather spend your time 'doing up' a camper van than packaging up the goods then you cannot expect to run it in a business like manner - you can only 'at best' provide a service for friends.

Perhaps that is what you wish to do - and there is nothing wrong in that but it can also be a reason why some people are willing to pay slightly more.

If you are referring to Vilguy, and myself think you will find his is for one HiD and my price is for a pair of Hid.

Hope that clears it up :thumb2

As stated in my post, i do this as a favour for people, not as making a profit. Hence the reason for my statement. In that some people expect me to be dropping everything for their particular parcel. I wont. That might sound harsh but at the end of the day, my family comes first and that means my proper job. The items are usually packaged up that same night and ready for dispatch, but the sites i work at are generally in the middle of nowhere. So forgive me for not driving 20 miles to the post office. I tend to post at the weekends.

Its not a problem though, again this might sound harsh but all the aggrevation it seems to cause from selling these just isnt worth my time. I kindly thank the people that have ordered from me already and will send off the last few kits shortly. But ill be stopping selling them after this. Its too much of a time eater so whats the point?:nenau

Les, my apologies if i got a little wound up, i think there was a little misunderstanding. Beers alround sound fair. :beerjug:

Ill stick to flogging bikes. Theres more money and less hassle in it. :thumb

:beerjug:

If you do it as a favour then people must follow your rules and cannot expect fast service

unfortunately the 'favour' element gets forgotton about:beerjug:
