HID on HP2 ?

thinking of adding a single auxiliary Micro DE - HID light on a BM HP2 (enduro)

wired directly to the battery not linked to the dip or main beam,

has anyone done that before,?

any ideas where I can get one!

What are you after? Micro DEs come in 2 beam patterns .... a foglight beam to have "always on"? or the HID driving light to act as an additional high beam?

If you are after the foglight beam, you can only get that in the Halogen H3 bulb .... so you would have to convert it your self to HID ... or talk to Les Wassall ... he is able to supply Micro DE fogs, HID converted.

If you want the driving (spot) light beam pattern, you can only get that in factory HID format ... Again Les will be able to get you that as he is mates with a Hella supplier. With a HP2, you may want to change ballasts anyway from the bulky standard Hella one to a more compact UltraSlim ballast one.

no not always on, I would like a separate switch so I can switch it on and off

simple wiring direct to batery is preferable,

I would only want one light, do they only come in pairs??

thanks, I had a look at the TTech headlight conversion and had a word with NPlump but for GBP 498 plus P&P plus fitting plus endless waiting.. I didn't think is what I wanted..

I only want a HID spot light !

I fitted a Les Wassall H4 HID to the main beam on Dirty Dogs HP2 so ask him if they work on one.

I fitted the slim ballast up inside the front mudguard, really neat You could fit 2 in there and have the auxilary De wired to the main to improve the high beam
