HID50.com exclusive

Les HID 50W Conversions.

Good Afternoon Les

Just been out for the first time this year.
"Lovely man" decided to pull out in front of my mate then saw this "Blinding Light!", my 50W Hid kits from you.

Just wanted to thank you for the service and the fact they have proven faultless since day one.

Ride safe and take care,

Gareth.

HID 50

Ordered my kit including mount form Les on Friday, all the gubbins arrived today (Monday) and is now fitted on the bike - WHAT a difference in light. Les had already fitted the ballasts to the stainless steel mount and it took me just under and hour to fit the stuff - admittedly I had taken all the bodywork off on Sunday.

Cheers.

Cannae recommend this man enough - now to go and blind some boxes!!

Hi Les. I'm new to the forum so I'm trying to get to grips with how these things run.
Was advised your way as I'm interested in HIDs for my 2003 R1150GSA.
I preseume it's one unit for the dipped as the main beam needs the usual bulb to react quickly
what sort of price for the unit or can you direct me accordingly?
Thanks, Simon

2010 R1200GS. hid50.com 35W not working as I thought it would

I’ve bought a 35W HID lo-beam kit from Les late last year and just got insurance for the bike. I’m disappointed that although initially everything worked just fine but after riding 3 days and ~20x starting the engine I got the first LAMPF! message, HID comes on after restarting the engine, this happened 3 times now, LAMPF! not always comes on but it's enought to give me a headache. Restarting an engine for the headlight to come on is not an option for me.
I'm pretty sure that it's not a wiring issue in the headlight feeding power to the ballast. Battery fully charged on Optimate. Any ideas?

Hi Chris, i have replied to the mail sent on gmail, same answer really,

sorry you are not happy with the ballast, as you will appreciate they are electrical and can go faulty, I can only reiterate that our gear is well sourced and we buy high quality components to stop any problems, we are happy with the kits and have extremely low fails, I am happy to look into your problem and as always we do not just have a twelve month warranty we asses the issue and only if after a problem beyond our control, only charge cost if any cost to yourself is to be incurred.

let me know your address and i will get another ballast out to you as it less than twelve months and should not have failed.

Thanks Les, you offer great service,! Since the no HID turning on = LAMPF! message doesn't come up at each start I'll monitor this a bit longer, as it stands right now I might simply go back to stock H7 althought I like HID, I have additional LED lights and they truly work all the time.

Quickly wanted to report back, Les service is excellent!
On my Canadian 2010 GS, not for sure why the 35W kit on my lo-beam didn't work well. HID worked just fine for a couple days then the first LAMPF! and no power at the headlight plug so I'm assuming the ballast in-rush in order to start the lamp arc is too high and sets the vehicle electronics to shut down the headlight plug. Not sure why this only happened after a couple of days and not immediately) Upon restarting engine lamp comes on but for me this was not an option I want to deal with so Les refunded the money immediately.
Great service! :)

Mr Wassel Top Bloke

i recentley acquired a full set of HID 50 ballasts etc for 1200gsa off flea bay.

I was struggling locating everything on the bracket under the beak. a couple of e mails to les and it was sorted.

Considering i did not purchase the kit from him he was under no obligation to help.

Cheers Les could not have managed without your help.

With regard the HID wow what a diffrence. just need to sort out the side light which looks very dull alongside the other four lights

Thanks Les
