Highest roads run/Coast to coast

Although a bit away yet the highest roads run is still on May 2,3,and 4th

Also i am going to do a coast to coast run,from either montrose or stonehaven across to ardnamurchan lighthouse.This will be a day trip on either May 16th or 17th .Or the following sat or sun, 23rd or 24th.


I know all dates are a fair bit off but thought i would post them up for any interest and to hopefully avoid clashing with anything.

Sounds like a grand idea.

A while back a buddy and I where going to do a "keep the coast on the right" scoot round the coastline of Scotland, may still if we can get the spare time

Is this the same Mr Garfield who hadn't a scooby where Newtomnmore was in relation to Fort William when we were there recently?

If so, I hope his maps are better than his sense of direction

Coast tae Coast-wiz thinkin.Montrose up coast road tae Stonehaven,-Oor the slug,-Tak the A980 towards Alford, Then oor the Cabrach tae Craigellachie,-then to Aviemore,-FORT BILL. Oot the A830 tae Lochailort,-doon tae Salen then west tae the Ardnamurchan point! . Back tae Salen then turn right to Strontian then onto the Corran ferry.Hame via Glencoe

Obviously more details nearer the time,such as a suitable eating establishment
times etc.
I'tl be a long day .
