Had a strange observation last Friday at about 5pm on M62 at Hartshead Moor service’s eastbound (after getting off the Dublin Ferry at Holyhead)
I was on the 76k 1150 GSA fully laden with panniers and top box, so approaching 300kg and bike was filthy dirty too (not a desirable bike to steal)
Needed a piss, so stopped right by the main doors and the Gents is literally adjacent to those doors (a bonus)
In and out in 2-3 mins (just gloves off and left on bike)
As I came out there was 2 teenagers (about 15) on mountain bikes circling the car park, not wearing balaclavas and not really eyeing up my bike
The Services are in the middle of open countryside and surrounded by hilly fields and I doubt any rights of way - there are no houses or anything built up anywhere near
How did they get there?
Why were they there ?
How are they allowed to be there? - it’s a Motorway Services and as such is a restricted area bicycles, therefore shouldn’t be ridden anywhere nearby - security should have collared them and called police
Obviously up to no good
Anyway I didn’t hang around and saddled up immediately and rode off

Police as a whole are fucking useless
Because the last time I looked ….bicycles are banned from motorways and motorway services are covered by the same restrictions
Up to no good and there for nefarious purposes - they were looking at people on phones and ladies carrying handbags to steal
Most services stations have a back door that’s used by staff (and police etc if needed) to save having to drive long distances on the motorway to get into work.
Of course I have never slipped down the side of the barrier on my bike to get home quicker, that would be wrong

Just set the twat on fire once you’ve filled his lungs, then put him out again, you can claim you were a Good Samaritan just happened to be passing by when you saw the poor lad aflame

It backs onto willow valley golf course and can easily be accessed from the road that leads to it.
They have a lot of problems with youths at the golf course. Stole about a dozen golf carts not long ago and ran amok in nearby Brighouse over night.
As usual, they're under 18 so no punishment at all.

There has been sightings of helmet less chavs on that bit of the motorway, then they're off at Bradistan and away.
Same at Snowhill retail park in Wakey. Same at Colton shopping centre. Etc etc.
Everyone knows who they are. Nothing happens.
