Standard MO for these scroats is to steal unattended bikes, rather than target bikes with their owners onboard. They turn up on a stolen bike 2 up, the pillion gets on thevtarget bike and they use the stolen bike to push the target bike away right foot on rear left pillion footrest so not sure what benefit an immobiliser would have for most thefts as the don't start the engine on the target bike? Even if they did target the bike while the rider was on it their accomplice would follow target bike and they'd revert to using the stolen one to push the target bike if a remote immobiliser was activated?
Another option is to turn up in a stolen van with multiple scroats inside and hump the target bike into the back, again stealing the bike while the owner isn't present.
I think the number stolen while the owner is present would be very low compared to unattended bikes so not worth the investment? If you really wanted it back a non factiry fit tracker would be more use?
