Rode all the way down from Glasgow for a Hilltop remap today.
Ok, I was down in Yorkshire staying with friends but it's still a 2 hour ride from there. Bike came in making 83.5 bhp at the back wheel and 65 ft /lb of torque. Geoff said it was unbelievably lean. Not even registering on the scale. He's pretty sure I've not burnt out a valve as this would have shown up on the read outs. Glad I took it down in time to prevent any damage. So, what did it make when it left? 102.77 bhp and 81 ft/lbs of torque. Very impressive gains. Rides a wee bit smoother too. Didn't think it felt massively quicker when I pulled away but gave it some on the motorway slip road and noticed I was doing over a ton. It was deceptively quicker. Pulls hard right up to the red line too. Money and time well spent in my opinion.
He had a couple of Gsers in that morning. If they are reading this, what were your read outs.
Cheers
Kev

For sure Geoff's re-map makes the GS a better bike and we have to believe that the lack of lean running is cured - which is why the pick up is improved with more fuel.

All good - the riding experience tells you all you need to know.

What GS do you have

1200 twin cam adventure.
Update since remap is that the most obvious change is in about town riding. Much smoother and less snatchy.
Thought the bike was using slightly more fuel on the ride back up from Yorkshire however it was 2 up with full luggage and it was gale force winds the whole way.
Most people seem to see a slight improvement in fuel consumption after the remap so I will see how it goes under normal conditions.
Bike just feels much better, as if its been properly set up.
A definite worthwhile update.

Mine has a temporary fix with the Power Commander but it will easily pull under 2000 rpm in high gears. I try to avoid it (conrod loads must be huge) but it's good to know you can power on properly even when running one(?) gear too high.

I had my 2010 twin cam ADV remapped by Geoff a few weeks ago & got a similar increase in performance - almost identical 'after' figures to Kev:thumb2

Much smoother now, no snatchy flat spot at 3000rpm & far lees vibration - plus pulls like a train up to & past 7500rpm - even in top gear.

Am well impressed ...............and there's no way my dealer is getting the money off me for an LC ......not this year anyway :D

Anyone know if there's a group booking planned for saturday may 16th? If not how long does it take to do the remap as I'll be around the area 15th and 16th.
