Big thanks again to Geoff , bike number five now been set up rite , god it was running lean , engine still tight as only done 700 miles , but such an improvement.
Not posting figures as cant be bothered with the know alls . I would recommend anyone to Hilltop as all my bikes have been set up as they should and given me many miles of trouble free fun , and no, I don't give a fcuk about mpg either.

good on ya mine was showing 300mls when i took it to geoff so like yours it was tight, made 113bhp on the Dyno ( base run 93bhp) which is about 6-8 bhp down on a loose motor.. rides fab tho, he also said i could have a free run to see if the power went up if im passing...top bloke

It's the torque that counts , more bop is good if you have a big ccock but the torque is where you want the bm , so Geoff reduces the bhp to get the best torque .... Simples

The map will not show on the bike , my mechanic at bmw knows mine has been done , but can't see it , he thinks it's the best thing to do as well as my bikes have run so well.

It makes it absolutely void. Nutty is terrified that word will leak out that his has been on a hill top. There again, he could well have misunderstood something.

I have first hand experience of this, whilst your dealer may understand the reasons why you have had it mapped and be sympathetic, BMW UK will not .
So i would strongly recommend you don't tell your dealer and in the event they ask just say NO it's not mapped.

Not sure if I'm going over old ground here... When being interrogated on the phone re ones insurance quote, what reaction do they have about modifications to the motorcycle. My thinking is, they can't treat it as a performance increase, but trying to explain to them it's had its brain remapped could result in a day on the phone.
Or hopefully they recognise such mods as being an improvement to the bikes running.

Just a thought. Funny buggers these insurance companies...

It's dead simple. You lie, just as the advice on this thread is to lie to the dealership (and indeed anyone) if the consequence of telling the truth will potentially disadvantage you in the bikers' wallet department.

Hilltop and / or or any other enhancements, blings, must-does and the like must only be whispered about and only then in obscure code. For example, "It's the bollox" means: 'My awesome steed is well sorted, mate' to which the other party will nod knowingly and tap his nose, giving a conspiratorial wink, replying "Dogs bollox, gotta get me some".
