Himalayan 750

Taxation will be in the equation for the European market, which is bigger than the UK market, so I would be going with 650cc, not any larger...There is a big jump on the CC here from 650 to 750, I don`t know if it is any different in the other countries, so maybe those who live in France, Spain Germany etc. can give some insight...Cheap as chips for tax here, as a 650.

I don`t know, just a thought from a marketing and potential sales perspective.

You had me for a minute there until I noticed that the date is 2022 and the video is 2 years old! One hell of a custom build though to graft a pair of 411cc engines side by side!
 
i wondered that until comparing the pic of the spy shot and noticed the bodywork was different then he said the two engine milyarded together which re wouldnt do hehe

Were older Triumph twins even counterbalanced though? Current 700-800 twins are pretty sweet and the heavier Himalayan version would be even more mundane than RE's 650's if it used that same engine.

The Meriden Triumphs were'nt counterbalanced and having only ridden Blòor triples i don't know how smooth the twins are; having owned a 500 Daytona i do know how revy and sweet those motors are; and the 650s wer'nt too bad in that respect; the meriden 750 motor was just a bit more harsh ; it was still good enough to win the Avon championship production class in the late seventies and early eighties;; anyroad there's far more experienced folk on here who could take you through all the ins and outs; :beerjug:

Interestingly of all the motorcycles I've owned over the years I've not owned or even ridden a Triumph, or any British motorcycle for that matter. I rode on the back of friends 1968 or 69 Triumph 650 the one with a single carburetor, and another's Daytona 500 which had 2 carbs. I can't recall any vibrations, probably because at the time I was so excited just to be given rides on them. I remember Kenny and I being pretty scrunched on his Daytona.

Having cut my teeth on BSA ; Triumph and Norton i have the rose tints for those early years; i've blown all three brands up; and all badly; :D :beerjug:
