Rubber removed, fits great now, shame they don't make a wider version but cut and shut was the only option for fit, rubber serves no purpose other than protection , easily removed with a leatherman knife , metal wrapped with helicopter tape I had spare, doesn't look to ridiculous and still has the integrity of the U lock.

With the rubber sleve cut off, does this now fit through the hub of the front wheel?

I only have it at the bottom of the wheel with it on resting on the floor im afraid. It was to tight with the rubber on.

+1 for the Litelok X3. I use mine on the GSA and R9T, both spoked wheels and going through the front hub.

I have a DX with an x chain, brilliant bit of kit. Think either is a great choice

It's fits through the hub and the lower fork, with all the rubber on. This way the front wheel can't be removed without cutting the caliper mounting.

The scrotes just use skate boards front and rear lift the bike and off they go !

I can't find a single example of that happening. And for good reason. As a former skater myself you're very optimistic about the controllability of two separate skateboards with a heavy, free standing object on them which requires constant balancing. It's probably possible to move it in a straight line on a perfect surface for 50ft or so. Along a UK road or pavement for any distance? No chance!

Nobody is picking bike locks either. Lock picking requires expert skill and a quiet environment, it's not like the movies.

Anyway thanks to this thread it looks like either is a good choice, the X3 is bigger but according to Bennetts the DX is more resistant to cutting with certain discs.
