Agreed, I think .I like the hiplock stuff but I think it’s too easy to cut a chunk out of the disk to remove it so the cutting resistance is a bit of a waste really.
I use a disc lock if I’m popping in somewhere, more so that it can’t be rolled away but serious security involves a D lock and or chain.

I was about to post exactly the same point about a tough disc lock just encouraging scripted to cut the discI like the hiplock stuff but I think it’s too easy to cut a chunk out of the disk to remove it so the cutting resistance is a bit of a waste really.

I think I read on here that ‘the thieving scum’ are a bit thickAgreed, I think .
Got a good alarmed Abus disk lock but use a Litelok and strong noose chain if overnighting in non BMSBIFP

I had a roadlock on one of my GSs. Bloody thing was always gummed up with crud...Next disk lock I'm buying will be a Roadlok. Traditional disk locks are a 30 second job to remove with a grinder.
I really like the idea of a roadlock but thought the same and also how would the pin line up with the holes in the disc - to me it looks like it’d be a faff?I had a roadlock on one of my GSs. Bloody thing was always gummed up with crud...

No issues in use on my second one well third if you count the one the thieving scum tried to cut off my 1250 !I really like the idea of a roadlock but thought the same and also how would the pin line up with the holes in the disc - to me it looks like it’d be a faff?
Thats interesting, I didn't realise the pin was spring loaded - I might have another look.No issues in use on my second one well third if you count the one the thieving scum tried to cut off my 1250 !
I actually don’t line the pin up now work on the logic as soon as someone moved the bike it will engage in the hole !
Used every day all weathers as well.
