With my 1200 TE GS now on order my mind is now firmly on getting some better riding kit. I quite like the look of the Rukka Cosmic jacket, posssibly in red to match the bike (cheesy I know but hey ho). The thing is Rukka don't seem to do something that would match it for SWMBO. So what do your other halves wear on the back of your GS. I'm thinking of getting a Cosmic for the wife to match but was wondering what the fit is like, so do any of your wives/GFs wear a mans jacket due to the lack of ladies kit out there and if so do you have any sizing adjustment recommendations I need to consider. SWMBO doesn't have an hour glass figure (12 stone ish and about 5'3").

Cheers

Rukka do make special female designs and sizing as complementary suits for men's suits. Not sure what the equivalent for cosmic is though. I recently bought a chariklo jacket, the women's version is called the charikla (just an example).

matching jackets? what planet do you live on!!!!!!!

You know there's a clothing section and, failing that, a Heels on wheels section, too?

Bods who don't ride GS 1200 WC's may well possess a wife / partner / old trout / SWMBO / sullen old bitch / significant other / soulmate or plain good old: Hot in the sack girly (The latter, probably the same ones who have a sign on their awesome steed saying something along the lines of: My other toy's got tits *) They too may have an answer to your dress question.

* Though probably missing the apostrophe in toy's, as they are not that brite.

Thanks for the sugestion. I posted it in the GS section as I thought more riders would have the Cosmic jacket but I get what you mean so I'll see what replies I get before I think about posting it elsewhere.

Thanks, after a trawl through a few websites it looks like they don't do 1 to match the Cosmic but they do other female jackets 'she' can have a look at and choose which 1 she wants.

BMW do some good jackets etc, tourshell, I think they do it in men's and women's. My ex wife used to have the suit, she liked it, there is a quilted jacket that zips out to wear to the pub etc but I don't think the lining of the pants zips out.

Look into some Rev'it gear... Iv two jacket/pants combos for different conditions, as well as extra waterproofs and a full set fur the missus too... Great gear, just as good as Rukka(which I also owned) if not better and some of it cheaper too.

I'm off to the dealer later this week to see what the criac is on the bike so will have a butchers at their stuff. I quite like the pro gortex laminate that Rukka and Klime do at the mo but I had a street guard jacket before when I had my R1150R that I quite liked and they do mens and wimmins ones in those so I'll se what they're like and go from there.

Cheers

Cheers...more stuff for me to check out. It's a difficult job but someones got to do it......

Just to add SiRich's suggestion of BMW tourshell.... Its a great jacket because it has huge vents that open and make it suitable for Summer riding. (A female version is available in different colours so you can both wear the same jacket but not look like a "matching pair ".) I really struggle to find anything that is quite as adaptable.
ps..The mid jacket - (thin) belt on the Red Rukka Cosmic looks silly imho. ( as does the huge letter R on the back , who needs that ?!!!)

KLIM gear. At least the mens and womans kit are not the same colour.

Unless SWMBO rides everywhere, in all weather conditions with you, then why bother?

Buy the best/most comfortable jacket for you and then likewise for her. If you ride all year round and she only comes out on occasional sunny days then a Rukka for you and something cheaper for her. The cheaper her clobber the more you can spend on yourself :D

I bought a pair of black Tour-X's about 8 years ago and SWMBO's lid has been worn four times. A complete waste of money :blast
