Lovely photo's.
Do you have a gpx file of your route? ...

If you google 'wanderings of a nomadic Hobo from North Wales' you should find something :nenau:D

Do you have a gpx file of your route?

I don't need things like that but can tell you where to not spend 20p :D

As always, the best way is to just ride around, see a turning and go have a look, as Rocky says it's all good.

Or get a map look for the millions of squiggly bits and pen a route. That's what I be doing. Am booked into a lovely BandB in Betwys for 3 nights from next Tuesday . Rain or shine we will be there. Again ta for your post Tim, made me mind up to visit North Wales, now there's lovely . Loads of squiggly bits. :thumby:

Good one, stay off the A5 other than from Capel Curig to the Ogwen valley....if you go that way follow A5 down the valley towards Bethesda, take the left which brings you back up the valley but on the other side
You can make it out here...

Here's a nice very short one for you from Betws. Over the bridge by the falls.... bear right, follow until junction near Llanrwst go left up the hill and follow it all the way until just before (half a mile) the A5 at the Ugly cottage, left down the hill all the way back to Betws.

Look at your map there's great roads north of the A5 in the Pentrefoelas to Colwyn Bay area.....it goes on, you've seen Rocky's report including up by the Blue Lake above the Mawdach, there's loads to get you off the beaten track and hardly see any traffic. :beerjug:

We're putting our house on the market next week, and looking for another in Surrey, but the more I look at this, the more I think, bollocks, bring the downsize plan forward 10 years and move to Wales.:thumb:D

My house will be up for summer letting soon. Its in Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth...
I'll do a special rate for tossers if they get in touch with me direct..
plan should be in action in the next couple of months.
Then you can all ride these beautiful roads from a central base:thumb

Some where within the Snowden national park is a pass which for the life of me I can`t remember its name :(
Earlier in the year I was running from the A470 at Betws-y-Coed Through the back roads towards Cricceth and found myself running up along the edge of a high valley which resembled the slate strewed landscape of Blaenau Ffestiniog, but yet it wasn`t Blaenau Ffestiniog as I`ve run along that road many times. The road/pass I`m thinking of is most definitely a "main A road" but not great when I was in a truck.

Can anyone suggest which pass it may have been?

Llanberis? ? Maybe

Llanberis? ? Maybe
Thank you, you sir are a star, Street view has confirmed the details, my initial suggestion of it being the A470 at Betws-y-Coed Through the back roads towards Cricceth was incorrect, as I remember the sharp right hand turn on what is the A4086 shortly after where the road splits from the A498 near the Pen Y Gwryd Hotel. So it seems I was probably heading towards a Bakery at Cwm-y-glo that day, then onwards to Beaumaris delivering Flour.

Not only does Rocky have a nice bike but he's flipping psychic as well:D

Right let's try him. Where was I?
