Hole in my trousers

I've managed to burn/melt a hole on the inside leg of my Rukka trousers. The inner lining is okay but the outer cordura has a hole about 3-4" across.

They're out of warranty now and a locally recommended repair chap has not replied to a number of voice messages left by Mrs Twotter.

So what to do???

I have been searching the interweb for some sort of patch but haven't had any luck so far.

Any ideas folks???

did the same to my pants repaired with stick on gore tex patches from
Needle Sports in Keswick Cumbria www.needlesports.com 017687 72227 did the job well .hope it helps

I've used Lancashire Sports Repairs http://www.lsr.gb.com/motor_cycle_clothing_repairs.htm.
They are very reasonable and provide a quick turnaround.

SBW in Hertford use him for their warrenty stuff.

I have used him on several occasions, unstitched a panel and replaced it with a new one on my textile trousers.

He did a fantastic job and was good value.

If it is on the inside of your leg and it's only 3-4" across, then a patch of just about anything will do, surely?

You can buy Gortex patches in camping shops, like Blacks, Cotswold etc.

Failing that, the nice ladies at http://www.hideout-leather.co.uk/ will sort you out, for sure.

maybe its what i tried it on, a HG taureg inner jacket,
just pealed off,
my mate repaired a tent with one and that was ok

I had a small hole in my trouser leg (and my leg actually) after a member of this parish...cough.....Arsey... decided that being vertical was overrated and decided to let his bike and by consequence mine have a bit of a kip while we had lunch at Lac de Rosalend in the Alps.

Anyway it had gone right through so while looking for some cordura patches I came across the aforesaid McNett Goretex patches from Amazon (£6.99) which look pretty good and seem to have adhered extremely well.

Time will tell how durable they are but there is more than enough stuff in the pack to replace it at least 4 times so not bad for the price.
