Hi all after a bit of a struggle I eventually managed to set up a wireless connection at home. The instructions with the router thingy were crap (3 com) However I am now able to access the internet on both computers, my pc wired direct to the router using an Ethernet cable and the other a laptop with the wireless connection. The problem is that I am unable to locate either computer using windows explorer, I would like to transfer files between each computer, Thought I had better ask the question before I mess up the setup that I have, both computers run xp home. Please keep the technical stuff simple cheers :thumb

if XP Home is the same, with Professional the Windows Firewall is turned on by default, that will stop you seeing other computers on your net work. Settings can be changed in Control Panel, Windows Firewall
