I am repeating this thread because I sense not all 1150 owners read the Hexhead section..
Yet we all have shaft drives and so need the moly paste for the splines..

The Honda stuff seems bloody hard to get hold of..

Worry not for this is just as good and its readily available..

I used Thixo grease on the final drive
It is Bell Helicopter approved for splined shafts and couplings
(thats all I have to add to this)

as for splines between the engine and gearbox, how often do you pull / access the clutch on your manual?

I use Staburags paste as per Chris Harris recommendation. Available on eBay.

Fuchs Renolit molybdenum anti-sieze paste from Opie Oils of Rdruth Cornwall. £31 for a 500g tub on ebay. Used in to do my splines!

I use k48 moly grease from morris lubricants cheap to get it online

I've yet to see worn driveshaft splines on an 1100/1150 in more than 20 years of working on them.

I've used 'flora', from any major supermarket. Worked OK for me !
