I'm now in Hungary after a few days running around Romania doing the passes and camping in Romany campsites (lovely people actually)!
My pump has started to grumble occasionally when I first switch on but other than a bit of a stutter one day it's been running well, the grumble is new and only started a few days ago.
Dirty fuel maybe and a combination of slow running thanks to continual 30mph limits and bloody road works.
Filter was changed before I came out so rules that out.
The plan is to head through Serbia, Croatia into Slovenia over the next few days but I'm wondering if I should be looking for a garage somewhere first?

It's been between 37 & 43c degrees for 6 days solid so not great for an oil head!!

It'll be fine. Mine has been moaning for years. I carry a spare on trips but it's been making a lot of noise for at least the last 50k now

I'll go with that! I was kinda worried when I went to overtake a horse & cart the other day and there was a noise from the tank along with losing power at the same time, a bit later when I re-started it ran on 1 cylinder for a few seconds and then cleared.
I rode for 250 miles today down to near Zagreb and it never missed a beat or made any unusual grumblings but the temperature has dropped to a chilly 30c so maybe that's helped ☺.
Think I'll change it when I get home all the same.

Sounds more like fuel contamination to me

Agree! It cleared after a few days but there were some unusual noises coming from the tank occasionally, I used the same fill of fuel in my spare fuel carrier for a Whisperlight stove and it also ran like shit for a while
The bike has taken me and the missus 4.5k miles around eastern Europe in 18 days and the only issue was the dodgy Romanian fuel, 300 miles home from the Newcastle ferry today in pishing rain and she never missed a beat :D

Is your tank filler drain Clear?? And Have you had rain or washed the bike....

Yeah, replaced the filler before I left as the old one was completely blocked by a spot weld on the drain, clearing perfectly now. Rain wasn't an issue at the time but the air temperature was something else

Seems to have sorted itself out now but I'll keep an eye on it ;)
