Horns

I am about to change bikes and one of the very few mods i have done is to change horn to a stebel magnum which get peoples attention to say the least. I was wondering if anyone had experience of both the magnum and the nautilus. Is the nautilis much louder? is it worth the extra hassle as the nautilis will need a relay fitting rather than being a straight swap

I think both the Stebels mentioned are vastly over rated and just another trendy add-on for the 'must have' lemmings infesting this site.

True enough,they`re better than the pipsqueak clown horn effort fitted as stock,but they ain`t exactly stunningly loud or attention grabbing in that menagerie known as UK road traffic.

I`ve got twin Fiamm air horns on all my GS`s and they truly do 'part the waves'

I have a Magnum on my 1100, certainly gets more attention than the standard horn, I have the Nautilus on my adv, it makes me jump every time I use it and its fun watching bystanders looking for the wagon that just sounded his horn!!

make sure you get the compact version, much easier to fit.

I saw them on his Ural at weekend too, they looked real pretty!!

Cant believe you have those obscenities on the red one!!!

I'm prepared to have the compromise of sound and looks of the Nautilus.

Twinned fiamm (1 high,1 low tone) are more than adequate and at a reasonnable cost

I have the high and low stebel magnums. I paid something like 25 dollars US for the pair of them. I just mounted them right where the stock horn was.

They are well worth the money. Cars stop cutting me off when I use them.

Also had both, Magnum good but the Nautilus(compact) is better by far. As said do not try indoors unless you like ringing sounds in your ears for a few days at least!

The Nautilus is twice as loud as the Magnum (3db).
