just my opinion but the horse is scared of something else, not the ktm, its backing away from something thats upset it and it wants to turn round

The riders confusing leg aids are making it back away and turn, not something scaring it.

horses are totally unpredictable

You don't ride do you?
They really aren't unpredictable. You just have to know how to read them, ride them and coax them into doing what you want, especially if it goes against their instinct.

nope i dont but i've been around them day and night for 20+ years, my wife has 6 of them and competes in national and international competitions and been asked to represent her country twice. she knows her horses very well and she says they are unpredictable, they can walk past an object 50 times without an issue and then all of a sudden its the scariest thing in the world. i've seen top riders on highly trained horses been dumped or carted off by them, ultimately you ride a horse by their consent and if they dont want to do something you cant make them. they have their own mind and their own senses and perceptions and can react to a situation before the rider is even aware that there is a situation. i wouldnt trust a top rider on a top horse let alone mrs miggens and her broken down racehorse out for a sunday jaunt, in this situation there was nothing the bike rider could have done and it could have been a very nasty incident, all i'm saying is give the buggers as wide a berth as you can and give me a bike any day of the week

I have ridden, but I don't trust them at all, Adam's right as with a lot of animals, they sense how you are probably before you know yourself and will react accordingly...

but I know i fI fall off a bike - I've done something wrong, if I fall off a horse... probably me, but could equally just be the horse having a bad day
